To foster, expand, promote and perpetuate the sport of archery. To conduct a continuous educational program designed to aquaint the public and the archer with the use of the bow as a recreation and a weapon for the hunting of legal game. To foster and perpetuate a spirit of good fellowship and sportsmanship among all archers.
Our first ASA style team shoot is in the books. Matt Sefkar and Chad Birrenkott held on to their 2 point lead going into the shoot off and beat Paul Voss and Duane Adams 272 to 270. The lead changed hands twice during the shoot-off and there was a tie after target 3.
A good time was had by all that participated. We are planning to have a 2nd annual ASA Style team shoot, so stay tuned for details. We learned a lot holding this event and hope we can see it grow.
The drawing was held at the Baraboo Bowmen's Banquet on March 23rd. The first ticket drawn was Scott Silvers' and he was present and took the rifle. The 2nd ticket drawn was Randy Wickinsons' and he won the 10x42 Vortex Binoculars. Congratulations to both!
